BACK TO SCHOOL/COLLEGE: MY MUST HAVE LIST

Welcome back on my blog 🙂 Since the school season already started, I decided to do something like a ,,Must have list”.

This year I will be starting my last year of college. I’m kind of worried because this is the most important year and I really want to do my best. I have a list of things that help me with studying or to survive some classes. If you are interested keep reading 🙂

1. The most important thing for me is a journal. I got used to them when I was in secondary school and they really help ,not only when you are in school or college but also in every day life. I write everything in my journal. It helps me with planning and organisation especially during very busy times in my life.
2. Another thing will be to find a hobby or something that will help you to relax or to stop thinking about school/college work. In my opinion this is very important. When I have an exam I try to relax on my way to college. I usually like to read a book or listen to music. This helps me a lot and makes me less stressed even when I know that I’m not fully prepared for the exam because I had other things to do.
3. Another must have may be weird haha, but it helps me to be motivated to study and to actually go to classes 😛 In my case new and good stationary is seriously very important. I even have certain types of paper I like and I really don’t like when my copy is different than the one I usually buy haha. So yeah in my case good stationary is a must have :D.
4. I also have this one small problem. I can’t concentrate when it’s loud. I need to have a quiet place where I can do my work. If you are like me, I think it is important to have 2-3 places where you will sit and do your things. In my case I love doing my work in a library. Library is definitely my best friend 😛 .
5. My last must have is a good friend who is still in school/college. A lot of my friends are already working and many of them never went to college. It is important to have a friend who is in the same situation as you and will understand your problems. Many people think that college is fun, but the reality is different.

I’M BACK!! SMALL LIFE AND ERASMUS UPDATE…

Hello, I’m back 🙂 I’m finally at home, I finally finished my Erasmus, and I’m finally happy :D. I stopped writing on my blog because I did not feel well, I wanted to leave Burgos as soon as it was possible. It just wasn’t for me and my house mates were not helping me with my well-being.

I did my exams, I had to repeat one but my professor was very nice and she helped me a lot. The rest of my exams were very easy so I had no problem with doing them.

The only good thing I see about the Erasmus is that you actually have a chance to learn the language. When I came to Spain I thought that I have good level of Spanish, but I actually didn’t. I left Spain with a B1 certificate, I learned a lot of Spanish and I was able to communicate with people. I probably forgot some thing already, but I know that it will come back to my brain very fast.

Well… ok, there is another good thing about it. You get a chance to meet people from completely different cultures, which I think is super amazing. I became friends with people from Romania, Hungary, America, Italy, France and China. Wow! OK… I have friends from different countries here in Ireland but that was a different situation. Those people were in a similar situation as I was and understood me very well.

I spoke with many students in Spain and many of them said that they think exactly the same about this program as I do. Erasmus is seriously great but only if:

1. Your language level is very good. Otherwise you will not understand what is going on.
2. You like to party a lot.
3. You find good house mates. My experience in that topic is very bad!
4. You are open to people.
5. You have a lot of money

So yeah… I think I wrote enough and you will understand what I mean 🙂

I went to Poland for a while and it was the best thing I could do 🙂 I felt like I need to relax. I was very busy at the end of my Erasmus and I was very tired. I had an amazing time in Poland. Now I’m in Ireland with my fiance and my two cats :D. I’m not going on anything like Erasmus again. I’m finally happy where I’m. Only one month is left until my last year of college :O .

MY FAVORITE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

Hello 🙂 Welcome back 🙂 Sorry for not being here for so long but I had a lot of issues with my subjects. I hope this was the last issue  and that I will not have anymore issues because I already had a lot. After a month of doing a subject called International Relations I got an email saying that this subject is not English friendly anymore ( as in I can’t do my exam in English). I got very stressed but everything is ok now and I hope I will finally be able to enjoy my Erasmus at least a little bit 🙂

Today I decided to talk a little bit about my favorite liquid lipsticks. I tried so many liquid lipsticks but it was so hard for me to find the perfects ones. Most of the liquid lipsticks that I tried did not stay long on my lips or made me feel very uncomfortable. The ones I `will talk about today are my favorite and I can’t stop using them :O

The first lipstick I want to talk about is this lipstick from Huda Beauty. I very like this lipstick because it looks very nice on the lips, the pigmentation is very high and it stays in one place for a very long time. I got it as a Christmas present and it came with lip pencil and glitter lipgloss. You can see me wearing this lipstick on many of my pictures on my Instagram. I’m thinking about getting more colours 😀

I already talked about this lipstick but I seriously love it so much. I’m also thinking about getting more colours. I love how it feels on the lips and how creamy and light it is when you apply it. Some of the liquid lipsticks are very sticky when you apply them, this one feels very creamy and almost powdery. It’s very hard to explain but I think that you should definitely try it.

These ones are my favorite of all liquid lipsticks I have. I probably talked about them already but why not say it again 😛 This is a Polish brand called Golden Rose it slowly starting to be available in many other countries. These are around 25 zl which is around 5-6 euro. These lipsticks are very light and they stay on for a very long time. Sometimes I forget that I have a lipstick on my lips and few times I fell asleep with it. I seriously did not find a better lipstick. I have only 2 colours with me, because I left most of my make up in Poland. I will definitely get more when I go to Poland.

WHAT DO I MISS THE MOST ?

Hello welcome back on my blog 🙂 I will talk about things that I miss the most 😦 There are things that I miss a lot and there are things that I can live without. Living abroad on your own may be very difficult especially if you like to spend time with your family. Even if you meet a lot of new people you will never be as close with them as with  your family member.

The first thing that I miss is definitely talking and drinking tea/coffee with my mum. We always sit and talk together and drink a hot drink. We are very busy and we don’t have a lot of free time so it is very important for me to spend as much time as I can with my mum. We talk on the phone almost everyday but you know… it’s not the same.

I miss my cats a lot! My cats are very important to me. They are like my little children especially Negra. She helped me many times when I didn’t feel well. She is my little best friend 🙂 I miss her a lot. She always makes my feel better.

I wish I could understand everyone. It’s very hard to understand most people here. Many people have different accents. It’s very hard especially when people speak fast.

I miss Polish TV haha 😛 Yes, I miss Polish television 😀 I don’t really watch TV but I still miss it. Sometimes there are very interesting programs  and I like to watch them. Here I don’t even have Spanish TV haha.

I miss my comfortable bed and my bedroom. The bed that I have here is very uncomfortable. My back is very sore. It was very hard to get used to it and I did not sleep well for the first few days. I still have problems with falling asleep. I miss my cozy bedroom. I always light up candles and the whole room smells very nice. The room that I have is very big. I think it’s too big for me and I don’t like it because it’s very dark.

I miss having a normal view from my window. Sometimes when I wake up I would love to look out the window and see something different than a wall and someone else’s windows. It is very annoying because I never know what kind of weather is outside.

I also miss some kinds of food. I don’t really like Spanish food. It has no taste for me or maybe I tried in the wrong place.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT SPAIN ?

Hello 🙂 Today I decided to come back to my Spanish topic. I want to talk about things that I like about Spain or the area where I live. If Spain is your future destination some of these things may be useful. I have been here for almost one month and I think that I can already say what I like about this country. Sit back and relax 😉

1. The first thing that I seriously love about the place where I live is the price of the bus. You can get a bus card that costs around 2 euro and you put money on it. Every time you enter the bus you have to tap it and it takes 40 cents from your card. It’s very cheap compering to Ireland because I have to pay around 10 euro everyday when I’m going to college.
2. Another thing that I really like is that most of the drivers are very nice and when someone is crossing the street the car will stop. I’m not very used to it. In Poland and in Ireland it’s a very rare situation. Especially in Poland.
3. A lot of the things here are much cheaper than in Ireland. For example shops like Bershka or Zara are much cheaper here than in Ireland. That surprised me because I thought that the prices are the same in all the country.  Food is also very cheap, you can buy lunch for less than 5 euro. I’m not sure how is it in pubs but I think that alcohol is not expensive here.
4. People are very helpful here. I noticed that even if you don’t understand them they will try to do everything they can so you will understand. I noticed that from the first day that arrived here.
5. I really like how open to others Spanish people are. They like hugging and kissing a lot. They like to be close with the other person they are talking to. Sometimes it might be a little bit annoying when the person your are talking to is very close but it’s normal here. Everyone does it on the streets.

ERASMUS ? WHAT IS IT ?

Welcome back 😉 Today I want to talk little bit about Erasmus. A lot of you probably don’t know what Erasmus is, so I decided to explain what it is. Erasmus is more European thing so if you are from another part of the world it is normal that you don’t know what it is. If you are interested in this I hope I will be helpful.

Erasmus is basically an European project that lets you go abroad for study or internship for  two semesters or only one semester. You can go to any European country that your college or university has connection with. In my case I could go only for one semester and my main destination was Spain because I want to teach Spanish in future.

Erasmus can be very expensive, you have to rent a room, you have to pay for your bills, and you obviously have to eat and have some fun sometimes. There is a solution for that. There is something called Erasmus Grant. Everyone can apply for it but unfortunately the money you will get are very little, you will probably be able to pay for your rent with it. For people who are living in Ireland there is another solution it is called SUSI grant. Not everyone can apply for this grant, but you can always try. If you want to know more about it check their website.

Erasmus is a great opportunity to live in a different country for a while and meet people from different cultures.  It is also a good opportunity for improving the language you are learning. I’m studying European Studies and Spanish. I never had any problems with Spanish and I thought that my Spanish is good, but when I came here I realized how much I can’t understand. After a week of listening to Spanish for almost all day I slowly got used to it and I could understand more. Thank god most of my subjects are actually English friendly.

Erasmus is also a very good opportunity to travel. It’s my first time in Spain. I will travel as much as I will be able to. I’m going to Malaga for Easter, can’t wait for that. You can travel as much as you want in your free time. I have to say that buses in Spain are very cheap, so if you want to travel in Spain ,I think that buses are the cheapest option.

If you have an option to go for Erasmus, I think you should take this opportunity. Now days experience is very important. It looks very good on your CV and it might give you more chance to get the job you really want. Erasmus makes you more independent because you have to find everything by yourself and take care of yourself. You can learn a lot about yourself while you are alone and so far away from the people you love. I learned that I hate traveling on my own, I hate big changes in my life and that I miss my little cat more than I thought. There are good and bad things about Erasmus but honestly I think that Erasmus is great and people should take the advantage of it.

BLOGMAS 4- CHRISTMAS TAG

Hello everyone 🙂 Today I decided to do a little Christmas tag on my blog. I found the questions on the Internet and I liked them so I thought that it would be nice if I did something like that on my blog. I hope you will like it 😀

1.Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Yes, in Poland and in many other European countries people open their presents on the Christmas Eve. In my family we usually eat our food first and then everyone takes their presents from under the tree.

2.What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

We have a lot of traditions in Poland. I live in Ireland but we still spend Christmas in the Polish way. I think that my favorite Polish Christmas tradition is shearing the ,,oplatek” and saying wishes to each other. I think that it’s a beautiful tradition because you get a chance to wish someone something good. Usually typical wishes look like ,, I wish you a lot of health, money and everything that you wish for” 😛

3.Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

My Christmas tree is real 🙂 And it looks like this.

4.What is your favorite Christmas film?

I don’t really have a favorite Christmas film. I love ,,Frozen”. I don’t know if you can consider this film as a Christmas film, but I have seen it like 20 times and I love it 😀 I also love Polish Christmas film called ,,Letters To Santa” or ,, Listy do M”. If you can find this film with translation you should watch it 🙂 It’s funny and sad at the same time.

5.Where do you usually spend your holiday?

I usually spend Christmas at home with my family. Last year I went to Poland for Christmas ,and I have to say that, it was the best Christmas I ever had. I finally got a chance to spend Christmas with people that I couldn’t spend it with, for the last eight years

6.What is your favorite Christmas song?

I don’t really have a favorite Christmas song, but I love Tchaikovsky and his work 😀  I listen to his work a lot now, I’m so excited to see the ,,Nutcracker” 😀

7.What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?

I looooooooove pierogi :O I think everyone loves them in Poland 😀 I also love cheese cake. My mum makes the best one 😀

8.Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Like an every person or at least most of the people I like receiving gifts, but I also like buying presents for other people.

9.What is your favorite thing about Christmas?

Hmmm… I think that my favorite thing about Christmas is that the whole family or at least most of the family members are in one place and can finally relax and spend time together.

10.When do you start getting excited for Christmas?

Usually at the start of December when I start thinking about the presents for everyone.

11.What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

When I was a little girl I think I was 6 or 7, I got a Barbie doll that I really, really, really wanted. I was jumping and screaming I think that I even cried when I saw the doll. I even remember which doll was it, it was Odetta from ,,Barbie Of  Swan Lake”. 

12.What is the worst present you’ve ever received?

I don’t think that I ever got a bad present. I’m always happy with everything that I get.

13.As a kid, did a sibling ever receive a present that you wished was for you?

No, my sister is six years younger than me, so there wasn’t any chance that we were wishing for the same present.

14.What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

I would love to spend Christmas in Austria or in a city called Zakopane in Poland. I just can imagine what I would do in the snow around me 🙂 ha ha

15.Most memorable Holiday moment?

When all my family gathered up in my grandmother’s house. This sits in my head because when I was a child we used to spend Christmas in her house and she makes the best mushroom soup 😀

16.Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Yes, I usually make a few but I never stick to them. I might try again 😛

17.What makes the holidays special for you?

When I can have my family in one place, just like last year.

18.What’s the best part about Christmas for you?

Like I said before spending time with the loved ones.

19.You have been granted one Christmas wish…what will it be?

I don’t really know but I just want everyone in family to happy and healthy.

BLOGMAS 3- END OF SEMESTER, GETTING READY FOR JANUARY AND HOW WILL I SPEND MY CHRISTMAS?

Hello everybody 😀 Today I will do a small life update 🙂 I hope you like my Christmas tree 🙂 I just finished second semester in my college, I’m so happy because I can finally relax and prepare myself for studying in Spain… yes… I said studying in Spain. I’m very scared because I will be doing three subjects only through Spanish and two with some help in English. I’m just hoping to pass all my modules while I will be there. I know it will be hard but I’m sure I can do it, and I already have some experience in learning through a different language. So far I passed all my modules very well and I’m happy with everything except Spanish. I will be doing my own study at home before I go. I have only one essay due but my plan is to do it this weekend and just focus more on the language. I still need to find an accommodation and get my insurance but I think I will get it sorted next week.

I really can’t wait until January 😀 Can’t wait for my beautiful Poland, and my beautiful Polish winter 🙂 My fiance and I got a lot of plans so I’m so excited to finally do all these things. We will travel to other city for a weekend because he has his bowling tournament and I’m going to watch him playing 😀 I’m so excited because I love watching him playing bowling but I don’t really like to play it. We will probably go to another place but we haven’t decided yet. My childhood dream will finally come through and we will go and see the ballet, we will watch ,,The Nutcracker”. When I was a child I used to love Barbie so for me it’s kind of like going back in time. We will also go to his prom in Poland it’s called Studniowka. It’s very formal and I guess very important in the life of many young people. I had my prom in 2015 and I’m very happy that I went and that I have these memories. I already have everything for that day.

When it comes to Christmas I will be spending them here in Ireland. Last year I went to Poland for Christmas. It was such a weird feeling because it was the first time in 8 years when I could finally spend time with my whole family during that time of the year. I have to say that, last year I had the best Christmas in my life. I was very happy that I finally had that opportunity to spend it the way I always wanted. To be honest I don’t really feel the Christmas spirit this year, but I will have to survive. I hope that next year I will be finally able to go out of the country and spend Christmas somewhere else and just relax and chill. I will be talking about Christmas in Poland very soon so stay tuned 🙂

BLOGMAS DAY 1 😊

Welcome back 🙂 Sorry for not being here for so long but I was veeeery busy and college made so tired, I had no energy for anything. I decided to do a Blogmas 😀 Most of the Youtubers are doing Vlogmas so why not do a Blogmas 🙂 I will try to post everyday until January but I don’t know how will that work with college

Nothing much happend since my last post here, except that I got accepted to University in Burgos, Spain 😀 I will be going there for my six months of Erasmus. I’m very happy but worried at the same time. I will be studying in English and in Spanish. I hope I will be fine because my I know that my Spanish is not great  and I really have to improve.

My plan for today is to clean my room because I want to decorate it for Christmas 😀 I also need to study for Spanish because I have a test next week . I always have to rewrite my notes and then read it to myself. It takes me a long time but this is the best way for me to actually learn something. I’m happy because Spanish is a subject that goes into my head fast so I will not need to sit for few days and try to learn it. I also have to a diary entry for a different subject, and essay and a presentation about my dissertation for 4th year of college. So yeah, who ever says that college is fun don’t listen to them… haha.

I think I should start looking for presents, I hate looking for presents because I never know what to buy. I always leave it until the last day haha, but in Poland you also get presents on the 6th of December so I don’t have a lot of time left.

Sorry for such a boring post but I just wanted to say Hello again and do a little introduction to what I want to do this month. I will make more interesting posts don’t worry 🙂 I will plan my topics today. I think  sometimes I will do something like a little diary entry and sometimes an actual post about something. MY FAVORITE HAIR PRODUCTS

Hello everyone 🙂 Today I will talk about my favorite hair products and a little bit about my hair care. I wash my hair twice a week, sometimes 3 times a week it depends on the weather, and my location 😀 I hope this post will help you if you were thinking if you should buy one of these products. Most of my favorite products are Polish, but we all know that Polish shops are almost everywhere ,and I’m sure you will be able to find them. You can also buy something during your stay in Poland 😉 So now relax, sit back and enjoy 🙂

This is a great shampoo for people with blonde hair, especially if you dyed your hair blonde. Blonde hair tend to go yellow after a certain amount of time. This makes your hair look nice and it makes your colour look much lighter. I usually use it twice a month and it works well for me. Lemon juice works very similar to this shampoo but it takes more time for it to work. This shampoo is great but you have to be careful with it because it can make your hair very dry. You should be able to find it in most shops like Boots.

This shampoo :O This is a Russian shampoo that I got in Poland. I tried few of the Russian shampoos and they are very good and very cheap, I think I payed 2 euro for this bottle. This shampoo is natural and it makes your hair different than normal shampoo with a lot of silicons.  It smells very nice, and it leaves that smell on your hair. I wouldn’t recommend for people with blonde hair because I have a feeling that it makes my hair darker. I use it 2-3 times a month.

Another shampoo that you will be able to find in many places. It moisturizes your hair very well, and again it smells very nice. It doesn’t leave the smell on your hair as much as the other shampoo, but it’s like that because the other shampoo is more natural. I really like how soft my hair is after using this shampoo. I really like to use it after I oil my hair because it cleans the oil very well. I use it 2-3 times a month.

This the only solid conditioner that I use now. I like the smell of it. It leave my ends very smooth even though my hair needs a haircut. I wouldn’t say that it repair your hair but it gives the feeling of strong and healthy hair. I use it every time I  wash my hair so twice a week. I also tried different conditioners from this brand and most of them worked for me very well.

This is my favorite hair mist ever! It’s great and cheap. I got it while I was on my holidays in Poland. I’m sure you will be able to find it in Polish shops. It works very well for my hair especially now when it’s a little bit damaged. It smells very nice and it makes brushing your hair very easy. It also makes my hair very shiny. I spray my hair with it when it’s wet. I use it every time I wash my hair so twice a weak.

This shampoo is from the same brand as the hair mist above. These two used together are a miracle for my hair. It smells very similar to the hair mist. It cleans my hair very well and it makes my hair smell very nice for a long time. I usually use it 1-2 times a month.

Another conditioner 🙂 It works great, I usually use it with the hair mist and both of them together work very well for my hair. With this products you have to be careful because if you put too much of it into your hair, your hair will go oily very fast especially if you put it on your roots. This product is cheap too and very easy to buy. It also makes my hair feel healthy and strong. I use it almost every time I wash my hair so 1-2 a week.
